FOOM, standing for "Friends of Ol' Marvel," was published quarterly as a behind-the-scenes look at upcoming titles, interviews with authors and illustrators, and other fan-servicing tidbits gathered at the height of Marvel's golden age. Spider-Man covers this issue, which includes a retrospective on his life and childhood by written Bob Cosgrove and Martin Greim, and reporting on the sales and success of Marvel, which had just become the #1 comic publisher in the country.
